Mr. and Mrs. Norman Wil- son have moved into their lovely new home in Janet- ville subdivision. We un- officially inspected same and gave it our seal ofs approval. The Sunday School concert date had to be changed from Dec. 14 to Dec. 16 as the Church was already booked for other purposes. The concert should be very interesting with all the new leaders and children taking part. We trust the enthus- iasm will continue on thro' the winter. Mrs. Madeline Cawker returned on Monday from a trip to Saskatchewan where she went to visit a brother who is very ill. Last report of Anson Gerrow on Sunday was that he was still in the Port Perry Hospital and surviving the last week on intravenous. Our thoughts and hopes are frequently with him and his family. To-night the members of the Head U.C.W. dine togeth- er at 6:30 p.m. at the Community Hall when they learn the identity of mystery Sisters, exchange gifts and enjoy a planned Christmas program. So far the Head ladies have sold over 250 of their inter- esting cook books. On Sunday Rev. Clarke missed his chat with the children as they were all very busy with their Christmas plans and studies. However, the theme for the adults "What price Freed- om" was very timely in consideration of world conditions today and in the past. Can you imagine in the early days, having 1240 laws based on the 4th Command- ment? Preparations for winter in repairs and improvements are being made by men of the Island Church. We are still hoping for the new doors Atoms lose This past week has been a quiet one for the Malmont Farm Atom All Stars playing only one game. On Friday Nov. 23rd Port went down to defeat to the fast skating Whitby Brooklin team. Even . though Port was on home ice they seemed to lack the fire they had shown in Brooklin and they were no match for Whitby. The boys skated hard but couldn't get the puck past the opposition's defense. Whitby passed the puck extremely well and went home with a score of 6-0. The Atom All Stars travel to the Don Beer arena to meet Bay Ridges on Wed. Nov. 28th at 7 p.m. and they challenge Markham in Port on Friday Nov. 30th at 8 p.m. A
