The group for the evening was Mrs. D. McKean, Mrs. W. Irwin and Mrs. A. Empringham. The motto Enthusiasm-what is it? Mrs. Irwin spoke on this by breaking up the work into letters and gave a small talk for each subject namely-E- was Energy, N-Neighbour, T- Thoughtfulness, H-Happy, U-Unafraid, S-Singing, I- Inspiration, A-Action, S- Service, and M-Maker. By " following this lead a woman can be happy and helpful in her home and community. Our speaker for the even- ing was invisible to us. With the aid Mrs. J. Brown of Washago, our P.R.O. for the province of Ontario, we were able to procure a tape taken at the Canadian Women's Institute Conference held in Saskatoon, Sask. One of the speakers was Father Larre, a former teacher who is now a priest. He spoke on his work among the delinquent and worried children in his area. He said most of them are starving for love and understanding in their infancy and through their formative years. The Institute Grace was sung and a lunch was served by the group in charge.
