The baseball season is rapidly approaching and it looks like our park will see lots of action very soon. Sunday afternoon a number of wives and friends of our Seagrave wonders got together and decided to form a team. Practice this week _for these female enthusiasts will be Wednesday night at 7 p.m. Our Seagrave heroes brought home spanking new uniforms Sunday and will be allready for their opening league game Sunday May 11 at 2 p.m. in Oakwood. A baseball coach for girls Bantam team ages 11-14 is required. Help is needed for all the girls teams, all ages. If you can give some assist- ance please call Mrs. Norma Adams at 705-357-3730. To finalize the hockey season, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Carr hosted a party for the Mariposa Hockey Team Saturday night. Many thanks Ann and Lawrence for a fun evening. Seagrave Good Neighbours Group will hold a coffee morning in the Church Wednesday April 30th at 10 am. Sandy McCully will show a film and lead a talk and discussion on cancer. Babysitting will be provided and all ladies are welcome to attend. Registration forms are in the church now for those wishing to attend a United Church sponsored camp this -summer. The 1980 Rally of Region I of the Lindsay Presbyterial U.C.W. will be held on Thurs- day, May 8 at Miller Memorial Church. Regis- tration begins at 9:15 a.m. and all women are welcome. ~A- hot turkey dinner was enjoyed by the Beavers and their fathers and leaders Saturday night. Many thanks to Mrs. Angie Dyke- man and her helpers for all the time and talent they give these youngsters. The Greenwood Seagrave Mothers Auxiliary of Scout- ing will hold their meeting Thursday night May 1 at the home of Mrs. Liz Smith. The Christmas Bazaar held by the Auxiliary will be held in Seagrave this year on Satur- day November 1. This is advance notice for all you who make crafts and like to start early at it. Several from our commun- ity including our school age population attended the Farm Fair held at Mr. Lloyd Wilson's in Uxbridge last week. I am very happy to report that little Craig Beacock is home from %ospital and coming along just fine. Welcome back to Rick and Debbie McAskill who enjoy- ed a few days in the Montreal area. Michelle and Patrick holidayed with Lisa and Jason Vernon while Mom and Dad were away. Mr. and Mrs. Len Somer- viile enjoyed B.J. Thomas in concert at the O'Keefe Centre Saturday night.
