letters Poor attendance Dear Sir: Last Sunday night (April 27), was the annual meeting of the Port Perry Minor Hockey Association, a meeting vital to organized hockey in Port Perry. Approximately 350 boys were registered yet only 27 people were interested enough to attend and air their opinions. The men and women on this executive give of them- selves throughout the year for the youngsters of our town. They do their jobs to the best of their abilities. Sometimes you may agree with their decisions, some- times you may not agree. It is my feeling that if you, as a parent, did not attend this meeting to express your feel- ings in regards to the opera- tion of the PPMHA, then 'you' as a parent have no right to sit in the stands next hockey season and criticize what the elected officers decide for your son. You made that choice - not to attend. I personally would like to thank all executive mem- bers, coaches, referees, etc. for their dedication to the game of hockey on behalf of the youngsters of our town. Keep up the good work be- cause without this loyal few, there would be no hockey for the boys of our community.
