There is fun in store for everyone with horséshoes, races, prizes, and of course the Seagrave Mariposa Ball Tournament. The Boy Scouts will be operating a refreshment booth so every- one can get a hot dog too. Following the daytime activity in the Catholic Hall in Port Perry the Seagrave Park Board extends an invitation to all to join in at their dance. See you at the Park on Saturday and later at the dance. A number of Seagrave children and their parents attended Greenbank Sunday School Anniversary services where the Greenbank Sunday School Choir sang during the service and Rev. M. Locke was guest speaker. There will be no service in our church next Sunday but we are invited to join with Pinedale at 11:00 a.m. for their Sunday School anniversary. Each child was presented with a scroll with their individual evaluation. A presentation was made to Mr. Bill Kean and many thanks to Mrs. Patty Will- iamson for her devoted talents all year. Also a thank you to all the mothers who helped make this a success- ful year and day. : Mr. and Mrs. Roger Boyle attended Jackie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Fergu- son's 40th wedding annivers- ary in Toronto on Saturday night. This also was a farewell gathering for Jackie's sister, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ricciuti who are moving to Calgary. Let's hope this eliminates. most of the (ouch!) sore muscles. Saturday May 24th Mr. and Mrs. Len Somerville attended the graduation ceremonies, dinner and dance at the Civic. Auditor- ium, Oshawa in 'honour of \ Betty's sister, Miss Suzanne 'Munroe who was graduating from her nurses training. Although it was never proven, it is suspected that a campfire was the cause of the fire in the area last summer. Since the land is privately owned, Scugog council can do little to lessen the fire hazard other than send let- ters to the land owners asking that they up-grade the condition of some of the trails so that fire-trucks can have access, or have them put up fences to control the motorcycle enthusiasts.
