Pendlebury had a pulpit exchange with Stouffville and we were very pleased with the presence of Mrs. Lockwood who is an intérim minister at Stouffville and a Chaplain. She told of her work in the. Hospital for Sick Children and Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. B. Lesage on the birth of their baby boy on Friday. Congratulations also to Mr. and Mrs. Danny Cosburn on their recent marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Slute and Kenneth attended the Cosburn - Slute wedding in Columbus on 'Saturday and on Sunday were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Slute at Seagrave. Mrs. Delia Harper and Mr. and Mrs. George Harper attended the christening of great granddaughter Alayne Louise Schofield in Zion Church on Sunday and were dinner guests with Mr. and Mrs. Mike Schofield and family. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Cairns and daughter Diane and Mrs. Bland of Toronto were Sunday visitors with Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bailey with Information on the ' former Cairns Mill, south of Utica, «Mrs. Bruce Geer visited her grandmother Mrs. Myrtie Stone at Seagrave on Saturday. Birthday greetings to Kevin Carre who is five years old and to Mrs. K. Crosier who is ? on October 3rd. Miss Kathy Sutcliffe was a weekend guest with Miss Marie Collins in Oshawa. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Sutcliffe are spending a few days visiting with granddaughter Mrs. Clare Brockman and children at Courtice. Recent visitors with the Sutcliffes were Mrs. Helen Crawford of Seagrave, Mrs. Margaret Miller, Mrs. Clare Brock- man and Bradley. Mr. and Mrs. Murray Geer visited her brother Mr. Bruce Redman at Hillsdale Manor on Sunday. Mrs. Dora Geer visited with her sister Mrs. Pearl Hodgson in Oshawa on Sunday and along with Mr. and Mrs. Murray Geer visit- ed with Mr. and Mrs: Doug Geer and family in Hampton in the evening. Mrs. Mildred Thompson attended anniversary services at Siloam Church on Sunday and was a supper guest with her mother Mrs. Miller at Mount Albert. There were 17 tables of euchre played at the hall on Friday evening. Winners for the ladies were Nerta Master - 1st, M. Poots - 2nd and Reta Boe was low. For the men - Irwin Kydd - 1st, Jim Gibson - 2nd and low man was Charles Clarke. Freeze-out winners were Rosetta Evans and Martin Gall with Nerta Masters and Gordon Smith coming in 2nd. There were three different 'colour packages to choose from, ranging from $5 to $8. A group of grade 12 and 13 French students will be travelling to Trent Univers- ity on Friday for a tour. The Student Council and students from the Music Department are selling oranges and grapefruit, - from Texas, to raise money for the Music Department. The tennis team coached by Mr. Scott played in the tennis tournament last Thursday in Oshawa.
