The minutes - were read and approved. Mrs. Adams reported that the piano had been tuned and Mrs. S. Van Camp on the District Meeting. Plans were made regard- ing the Fun Fair which is to be held at Kendal, Oct. 16th at 1:30 p.m. An invitation to Shirley's Anniversary Meeting to be held at Raglan on Oct. 15th was accepted and several plan to go. An invitation to Maple Grove Oct. 23rd for the after- noon program put on by Tweedsmuir History Con- venors at the Conference Room of the Government building in Lindsay. Mrs. Adams is our dele-- gate to the area convention. There will be a bus leaving: Port Perry at 7:30 a.m. and returning after the meetings are over in the evening, the first day of the convention. The resolution to be present- ed at the convention was given a second reading and got favourable vote from us. Inregards to our two $10.00 prizes for the High School commencement. After a short discussion on forest fires we had a contest on "Trees" before the meeting closed with the singing of O Canada. Congratulations to Ken Whitehead who competed in the North American Tae Kwon Do Championships on Oct. 11, 1980 and won the silver medal for second place in the senior division. Presidet Marilyn Green opened the meeting with the 4H pledge. After answering the roll call the discussion began. Floor plans were talked about and demonstrated.
