Lloyd Morrow [front right] and his late brother Gorde actually began in Port Perry and _opened- the-Sunderland-office-in-1950.="Mr-=Morrow says the business has been good to him over the years and his wife Esther and son Wayne play an active role in this family business. Rural hydro rates reduced "The cost of electricity paid by year round rural and farm residential customers will be substantially reduced - effective January 1, 1981 as the result of a $20-million special grant program announced by the Ontario Treasurer," Energy Minis- ter Robert Welch said last week. The funds will enable Ontario .Hydro .to . provide direct discounts "to rural customers. > 'The $20-million will reduce the differential by about 30 per cent between the retail rate for electricity paid by rural residents relative to that paid by the average municipal retail customer.
