Island Memorial Church was the location for a quiet family wedding when Janet Reader and Ralph Day were united in marriage with Rev. Barry Pogue officiating. This little Church has tradition asso- ciated with it for Janet as it was the place of Worship for many of her paternal ances- tors going back five genera- tions, when the first pioneer Reader settled on the pre- sent farm location at the "Head" about 1837. Janet is now fulfilling her career in medical training and work in the Belleville Hospital. We wish a very happy future for this young couple. In view of the many family gatherings, there is not much to report in public activities, and no news yet about the location of the U.C.W. meetings. - ro 2 nent a ~
