Everyone welcome. Then March 4th, the club will join the Uxbridge Trinity Couples club for an evening of square dancing. The Bethesda Reach W.I. will hold their - March meeting at the home of Mrs. L. Roll call, name an offensive advertise- ment. The hostesses for the evening Mrs. L. Pogue, Mrs. R. Snodden, Mrs. L. Doble. The W.I. held their annual spring party in the senior citizens rooms on Saturday evening. There were about sixty present to enjoy a bountiful and delicious dinner then play euchre. The silent auction had its usual not so silent ending. Thanks to Ted for being our auctioneer. Our deepest sympathy to Reverend Clifford Pendle- sbury and his wife Zena in the loss of his father on Sunday morning. Also sympathy to the relatives of Mr. Harry Taylor of -Uxbridge,-and-the family of the late Russell Rodd. Keith and Peggy Kennedy attended a Pot Luck supper at Udora Community hall Sunday evening with her mother Mrs. Vera Fawns. Doug and Beth Evans had a very busy week. On Wednesday, Simcoe County Young Dairy Farmers out on tour visited their farm. Thursday D.H.I.A. Production Club also on tour visited the Wilson farm. This club is an Uxbridge Area Club. Qn Friday and Saturday the Provincial Dairy Princess, Miss Mary Bradfield from Peter- borough Co. was a guest at the Wilson home and attended a farm display in Oshawa Shopping Centre. Mrs. Elford, Mrs. Simpson and Mrs. Earl Wilson visited Mrs. Walter Simpson at Green River nursing home at Sutton on Sunday afternoon. Mrs. J.P. Wilson and granddaughter Miss- Margaret Evans left Sunday for a two weeks holiday in Florida with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wilson. Our five girls arrived home early Sunday morning from their trip to B.C. Donna Kerry .was a supper guest with Pospolitas one evening. We are always pleased to hear news of these former neighbours. Recent visitors at the home of Howard and Ruth Ashton were Mr. Murray Potter and Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Searle of Kedron. Dr. Pat Asling and her mother visited Mrs. Elsie Gorrill in Lindsay on Monday. John, Ray and Ruth Taylor were with their parents on Sunday. Dr. Pinder, a neighbour of the Basters when they lived in Holland was a weekend guest. Mrs. Leta Acton was a dinner guest with Barbara and Ross Evans. Barbara visited several friends at the Villa when she took her mother home. eA ar * We are so sorry to hear that Mrs. Beryl Martin's sister Mrs. Lorne Plunkett passed away. Mrs. Darlene Begin accompanied her aunt Beryl to attend the funeral at Bowmanville on Saturday. Mr, and Mrs. Keith Ellicott entertained several members of his family and some neighbours on Saturday evening. Kim's sister Mrs. Shelley Brown arrived home from Victoria B.C. for a holiday. The Epsom Utica U.C.W. are having a Beef Supper April 9th at Utica Hall. All tickets will be sold prior to that date. Then the U.C.W. ladies will serve lunch at the Utica Equipment Sale March 28th. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. G oslin visited his mother at Victoria Manor Lindsay on Saturday then visited Saturday evening with Mr. and Mrs. Ben Howlett at Valentia. Mr. and Mrs. Tapscott and John have arrived home from a tour in the sunny south and had a wonderful time. Birthday Greetings to Donna on her 30th birthday from friends and relatives. A-speedy recovery-to Mr: Gordon Cummings who is a patient in the hospital at present. HELPFUL HINT Remove those little balls of fuzz from an old shirt collar by going over the surface with a clean shaver. It will not harm the fabric. Many happy returns, Sandy. As part of Sunday's service, the Seagrave Intermediate Sunday School class presented a modern version. of "The Little Bitty Seed," and apparently received many compliments for their efforts. This inter- mediate class, taught by Dianne Puckrin and Donna Phypers' will now start meeting at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday morning, on a trial basis. Congratulations to Liz and Gregg Smith, and Cathy Grant, assistant leaders of 1st Seagrave Cub Pack for successfully completing their Wood Badge Part I at Camp Samac recently. It sounded like they had a most active and informative weekend. . Please be reminded that there will not be any Cub meetings during the March school break. The Mariposa Mens hockey team participated in a tournament in Oakwood, on Saturday. You may have lost your games fellas, but you're winners with us. Kelly Boyle attended a - birthday party and swim in Toronto on Saturday, in 'honour of a special friend, Miss Ashley, Thake. The Seagrave Play Group and their families will be going on a trip to Purple Woods Conservation Area on Thurs- day, March 26. Please be at the Seagrave Church at 12:15 p.m. The price per family is $1.00 for the bus. The Women's Baseball team will hold a meeting on Sunday, March 29 at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Fran Taylor. The Beaver Banquet will be held on Saturday, April 4, at 5:00 p.m. at the Seagrave Church. Beavers are asked to please return the permis- sion slips to Angie Dykeman this week as a definite number of those planning to attend must be given to the caterers. The Good Neighbours Group are asking women of the community for good used clothing to be given for use by residents of a half-way house. Would anyone who has a contribution to make, please bring the clothing to the Seagrave Church by Sunday, March 22. Another date to circle on your calendar (if there is still room) is Sunday, March 29. On this date, a concert .. ~ will be held at the Seagrave Church, under the auspices of Mr. Alex Ingram, in aid of the Organ Fund.
