Sunday evening guests of Mr. and Mrs. William Kelly of Bobcaygeon were Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Kelly, Leigh and Scott of Cottom and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Kelly, Elizabeth, Elaine and Esther. After visiting Miss Leigh Kelly and Master Scott came home with the Gerald Kellys and stayed the night. They were picked up on Monday afternoon after they and their parents enjoyed lunch. Weekend company of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Asselstine were Les and Leah Asselstine, Gayle and Rob of Kitchener. Sunday evening dinner guests for a family reunion were Ruth and Floyd Asselstine of Prince Albert and Colin and Christine of Oshawa. The Senior Citizens' Euchre Party was held on Tuesday with fourteen tables and the foliowing persons winning prizes: 1. Lionel Byam - 84; 2. Russell Larmer - 81; 3. Shirley Barrett - 80; 4. Lorna Swain - 79; 5. Adam Sharpe - 77; 6. Maxine Brock - 77; and Low was Rhoda Larmer. The 50-50 draw was won by Leonard Cain. The Blackstock Overeasy Omeletteers had a party in the Recreation Centre on Tuesday, March 17. At this members enjoyed many different and tasty dishes, most of which were made of eggs or chicken. A good time was had by all who were present. The United Church is plan- ning a family afternoon and supper on this coming Sunday. First will be a get together at 3:00 or 4:00 p.m. at Glenn Grove's sugar bush to see his maple syrup operation. This will be followed by a pancake -supper at the C.E. Room. Everyone welcome. Blackstock Skating Club News The Blackstock Skating Club culminated their year's program with a family skating party on Wednesday, March 18, at the Blackstock Arena. Tracy Shestowsky, our professional instructor, displayed her talents which proved inspirational to the children. She performed several routines which were enjoyed by everyone. Many of our students also + gave solo and group demon- strations of their skating ability. These children performed with great skill and ease. Awards and badges were presented to the pupils in recognition of their accom- plishments this season. We are extremely pleased with the progress made by our 61 students over the past five months. The children range in age from 3 years to 17 years Congratulations to all of you! Hot dogs and doughnuts were served to everyone. Ginny Masterson kindly donated 'Crystal, a 3-foot stuffed polar bear pyjama bag," which she had made. Tickets were sold and the draw was made during the party.
