Atoms lead Region finals « by Danny Millar Forward John Lally scored and set-up another goal as Port Perry Malmont Farms and Atoms: defeated Ernestown 4-2, Sunday April 5th. The win gives Port Perry a hammerlock on the best of - five Eastern Regional final series. They now lead it 2-0. Lally paced the attack . especially in the early going when he scored twice after Port. fell behind in the . opening minute. Ernestown netminder Robbie Hubbard managed to get a piece of the puck that Lally shot from directly in front, through a maze of shot from the right side. Port got another break though not the magnitude of Lally's helmet goal, when a rebound came right out to Sorley 15 feet in front of the net. Lally took the original playoff win over Stouffville. By Atom standards, Geer is an entertaining hockey player. He often quarterbacks the team's offence with his head-long forays into enemy territory, which often end with him' picking up either a goal or an assist.
