A small hotel, the old avocado tree and many poinsettias from a strange place called Ajijic are set up on stage at Town Hall 1873 " and the stars of this product- ion are actively polishing their roles for the opening- night performance, sched- uled Thursday, April 30th. The regular performances begin at 8 o'clock on April 30th, May 1st and May 2nd and repeat the next week on May 8th and May 9th. Advance tickets are still on sale at Port Perry Star and Irwin Smith Music. Admis- sion is $4.50, A new idea has proven to be very popular. By arrangement with the ladies at Masonic Temple next door a Dinner-Theatre evening will be a special feature on Friday, May 1st only. The plan is to provide a menu in keeping with the general theme of the play itself. The fare, although typically Mexican in flavour, will be quite palatable. '"'Hot sauces + tm will be stationed strategi- cally nearby for those who have more venturesome stomachs," they say. A group called "Cripple Creek" will entertain during the dinner between 6 p.m. and official curtain time. The combination - tickets are selling at $12.00 and, due to the fact that enthusiasts have been reserving early, they are in short supply. These logos have been appearing recently in the local banks, business establishments and in the library and have initiated inquiries from many citizens in the region. The caption under the logo states that, with your help, both these letters A-Z, and all the letters in between, will soon be available in a variety of interesting combinations at the new Scugog War Memorial Public Library. The financial report indicated that $80,000 of the required funds from the public sector have been raised.
