Trojan defenceman Ron Squthern lost a foot race with the ball in the last minute of play. The ball crossed the goal line into the empty net just moments before Southern arrived on the scene, Trojan goalkeeper Ken Harman had originally been removed at the 17:13 mark of the final period. He went back into the nets at one stage but was removed later. Defenceman Charlie Brown spotted the Aztec a 4-2 advantage late in the final period when his slap shot from the point deflected past Harman. The game was played on equal terms throughout the first two periods. In fact, Aztecs took the lead by a single goal with three seconds remaining on a rebound after Harman came way out to cut down the original shot. Sloppy play by both sides dccounted for the first goal of the game six minutes after it began. Brown intercepted Springfest on this weekend The annual Port Perry Kinsmen Springfest will be held this weekend with the popular and well known group "Something Blue' providing the music on Fri- day evening. On Saturday night, a group called "Fire" will be on hand. Both groups play a wide range of popular music, from rock to easy listening. Springfest is the major fund raising activity for the Ladies singing group Ladies of all ages inter- ested in joining a harmoniz- ing singing group should contact John Shepherd at 852-7047 in Uxbridge. Mr. Shepherd, a member of the well-known Uxbridge Barbership Quartet 'The Millstream Men' says there has been an interest expressed by ladies wishing to form a harmony group of their own. He is hopeful the new group will be made up ladies from the Uxbridge - Stouff- ville - Port Perry areas. If you think four-part harmony is your cup of tea, give Mr. Shepherd a call for the date and place of the first organizational meeting. Last year's Springfest netted about $6200, and Mr. Callery is confident the amount will increase sub- stantially this year.
