She is presently finishing her internship at Bruton's Drug Store, Port Perry. Lake Scugog Historical Society, and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, were pleased to honour the winners of the 1971 Historical Writing Contest as they presented prizes totalling $85.00 to winners in the competition. Two of the largest antique auction sales in recent years became history as approximately 1,600 articles went on the auction block recently. Items auctioned included jewellery, furniture and dishes, with the two sales being conducted by auctioneers Reg & Larry Johnson, of Sunderland.
