Bar-b-q plans for Newman Premier--Bill Davis and cabinet ministers, past and present, make an appearance at a 'gigantic beef barbecue" July 4 to be held in honor of Bill Newman, former Durham-York MPP. The barbecue will start at 5 p.m. in the Sunderland Ontario Arena: The official host for. the evening will be MPP Ross Stevenson (PC-Durham- York), who succeeded to Newman's office at Queen's Park in the provincial election in March. The barbecue will cap Newman's 30 years of public service at municipal and provincial levels of govern- ment. He served in Ontario's cabinet as minister of the environment and minister of agriculture and food.
