ATOM LEAGUE ACTION Port Perry Auto - 4 Royal Canadian Legion - 1 by Brian Mark The Port Perry Auto team eventually wakened up and broke a four game losing streak by scoring a convincing 4-1 victory over the never-say-die Legion team. With both teams having 'only 11 players everyone had to work hard and the Port Perry lot worked just that bit harder. " From a Neil Mark pass little Michael Butt slid a nice ball into the corner of the net past the Legion's goalie, Ronnie Davis, Jeff Mills, the flying blue centre, countered in short time with a well placed shot. Goalie Ronnie came close to stopping a Neil Mark shot but it trundled over the line. Play bounced back and forth with Jamie Petrie, Derek Fitzgerald, Sean Bradbury, John Meeter and Craig Laskie of the Legion team and Adam Newman, Vince Criscione, John Cottrell of Port Perry Auto battling for supremacy in the middle. Slowly Dean Stone and Peter Brock took over the middle of the field and the latter shot in a beauty of a goal before Michael Butt got the fourth goal and sealed the result.
