Region Conser- vation Authority. One of the functions of the K.R.C.A. is to ail and educate local reesidents in the management of their lands for: - the improvement of wildlife habitat; - the reduction of runoff and the control of erosion; - the provision of wood fibre and timber; - the enhancement of the aesthetic quality of their property. Within the K.R.C.A.'s watershed there are many hectares of land best suited to the growing of trees and shrubs and the achievement of the above goals. In order to encourage tree and shrub planting on privately-owned lands, the K.R.C.A. would like to announce the implementa- tion of a private land tree planting assistance program. This program has been developed to assist private landowners in re- claiming sections of marginal and-or unworkable land.
