Lindsay visited on Monday afternoon with Neta and Grahame Fish and was a supper guest. Nestleton United Church was well attended on Sunday morning with many friends and supporters - the Sunday Rev. Victor Parsons pre- sented his final message before leaving for his new Pastoral charge in Colborne. The four part choir sang "Be Still My Soul".and Miss Gail Malcolm favoured with a solo "Bloom, Where You Are Planted." After the service and while the congregation was still seated a gift of money was presented to Rev. Victor Parsons and family by the Church Board and gifts were also presented by the United Church Women. After a warmy thank you by the Parsons family all present. went downstairs for a delicious luncheon prepared by the members of the U.C.W. A beautifully decora- Married 40 years Clarke and Lillian Ross, a well respected and happy couple celebrated their anniversary throughout the week of August 4th. Many pleasant and unexpected get togethers occured. Lillian was raised on Scugog Island, the daughter of Clarence and Millie Fralick, sister of Maurice, Inez Maundrell, Cecil, Raymond and Beth Rowland, all having attended the Foot Public School on the Island and the Port Perry High School. Clarke resided 'in the Annopolis Valley in Nova Scotia, having two sisters, Minnie Brinkerhoff in New York and Marion Quigley in Halifax, N.S. The couple met prior to the war in Toronto and spent, their married life in Toronto and suburbs, and recently retired to their home at Crestwood Golf Club with "their daughter, Karen and husband, Bill Huestis who are the owners of Crestwood Golf Club, Bill being the very able Golf Pro of the club and Karen an exceptional hostess assisted by their three cooperative, hard- working teenagers Kathy, Kim, and Kevin. and Alison Scott, ted cake inscribed with "Best Wishes" was cut and pictures of Rev and Mrs. Victor Parsons were taken standing behind the cake. Fruit punch and cake was served and an hour of fellow- ship enjoyed. The Parsons family will be greatly missed by the Nestle- ton congregation. Warmest wishes are extened to them as they begin a new life in Colborne. (Please take note) Rev.
