The first banquet was held on Tuesday night at Black- stock and the Junior players aged seven, eight, and nine were treated to hot dogs, pop and finally the awards. The teams were introduced in the order in which they finished the regular season. All Flags Shell came up to the stage first and team members received crests. Turners Green Giants followed and team members received crests and bronze medals on ribbons. The Lishman team was next to come to the stage and they were presented with crests and silver medals. Finally, the team which ended up in first place and also won the playoffs came to the stage. Team members presented with crests, a gold medal and also individual trophies donated by Marj Tripp Real Estate. Doris Clark on behalf of Marj Tripp presented the winning coaches with the annual team trophy. The following 'evening the action shifted-to Nestleton for the senior banquet. Ed Brown, who was in charge of this age group, was master of ceremonies. The boys and girls were aged 13, 14 and 15. After hot dogs and pop were served the presentations began. The Port Perry Kinsmen team came to the stage first and received their crests. The Lorne Lee Construction team followed and the team members received their crests and also ' bronze medals. Blackstock Lions were next and they were presented with silver medals and crests. Finally the Haines Esso team came front and centre and received the gold medals along with their crests for finishing in first place after the regular season. George Legere of Sportsland was present to hand over the annual trophy which was donated by Sportsland, to the winning coaches. Names were picked for an all star team to play in a game against the Blackstock Lions team next Saturday at two p.m. in Nestleton. "The final awards night was held on Thursday night back in Blackstock for the Inter- mediate girls and boys aged 10, 11 and 12. After hot dogs and pop the Marj Tripp team was called to the stage and they were presetned with crests. Following them, Caesarea Fish and Chips were presented with their crests for their fourth, place . finish. The David's Hair- styling team were up next to receive their crests and their bronze medals on ribbons.
