Malcolm and Gail visited their aunt, Mrs. W. F. Quick, Oshawa recently. Weekend guests.with their parents Mr. and Mrs. L. Malcolm, Nestleton, were Barry and Joan Malcolm, Simcoe; Dennis and Laina Malcolm and Jove of Ajax; Gail Malcolm of Blackstock. Sympathy ..Deepest sympathy is extended to the Emerson family in the loss of a fine father and grandfather, Mr. Malcolm Emerson, who passed away Saturday morning in Port Perry Community Hospital. He is survived by five children, Edgar, Toronto, Frank Peterborough, Ellen (Mrs. Mervin Bird) Brooklin, Gladys (Mrs. Don Stutt,) Bowmanville, and Irene (Mrs. Bruce Witherly) Oshawa. His wife Ethel and two sons Donald and Ralph predeceased him some years ago. Malcolm was well known - a fine friend and neighbour and will be missed by a great many relatives and friends. - Service was held at the Port Perry funeral Chapel - interment in Nestleton cemetery. Clara Warren and Thelma McCreight agreed to take the training re - leaders for the course, "Foods for all seasons" to be held at Goodwood on October 8 for one day. May Allen gave an interesting reading, "For Harvest Home and Thanks- giving." The President thanked Mrs. Penney and group, namely Vera Honey, May Allen, Gladys Slack, Marion Bell, Flossie Aldred and Louellen Clark for the excellent meeting and declared the meeting adjourned.
