In an exhibition game on Friday night Markham whitewashed the Novice J. T. Pearce Auctioneers 6-0. The Port team just wasn't able to get their act together on Friday, and with the lack of shots on net there was no challenge for the Markham team. Markham showed an exhibition of good passing and persistent shooting which really payed off for - them. One penalty each was handed out to Markham and Port for body checking and tripping. The boys worked very hard but with the lack of shots on net could not change the game into their favour. 'Peti tes split 2 games by Marg Pelow On Saturday, November 7, 1981 the Bruton's I.D.A. Petite team travelled to Whitby to play an exhibition game which they lost 5-1. Our lone goal was scored by Kim Loudfoot with an assist going to Jennie Blanchard. Too bad your goal didn't count Denise. Maybe next ~ game!! Kerri, Michelle and Kelly are showing their strength on defence. Laura, Jen and Val played well and had some good shots on a good goaltender. Heather, Misty and Karyn are showing improvement and are getting into the game. As. usual Jessica made some good stops. We missed you Nicole and Melissa. On Monday, November 2, -1981 the Bruton's I.D.A. Petites travelled to Picker- ing to play the Ajax "B" team. In a well played game - the local girls came home on the winning end of a 3-1 game. Jennifer Pelow, assisted by Laura Edwards, 'scored 2 goals. Kim Loud- foot, assisted by Jennie Blanchard, scored the other goal. Well done girls! Michelle, Kerri and Kelly all played very well on defense. The rest of the defense also had a good game. All the new forwards played a good game, even if they did go the wrong way while in possession of the ring. Nice try anyhow girls. If you want to see the girls have fun and you want some enjoyment, come and see them play at the local'arena on Saturday, November 14, 1981 at 5:30 p.m. DAILY CAR RENTAL Startingtfrom 995 per day *FREE: 100 km DAVE GARROW'S ORT CHRYSLER FRRY 985-7329 pm a £ [| Et is Ho i Pc A 0 x AR AER ss aE
