AN Mariposa as well as Port Heather Muir had some good re Perry, and 4 Petite teams (10 saves in net. yrs and under) from Sunder- Next Mariposa and land, Ajax and Mariposa with Port Perry. The First game at 8 am. Sunderland petites played to a 9-3 score for Mariposa. Mariposa Tweens then beat was , the Chris Allen the Lindsay girls 6-3. | 24 Aluminum Tweens against Our Bruton IDA Petites 4 Lindsay. The Chris Allen then played against Ajax but ais Tweens had surely not were outscored 3 - 1. Kim ! woken up and were 4 goals down at the end of the first period.They did however redeem themselves and played well enough to be tied at the end of regular time. They went on to win in the first overtime period. The final score was 7 - 5.Heather Muir scored 3 goals includ- ing the winning overtime goal, she also had 3 assists. Bobbie Jo Heap$ scored a goal and had an assist as did Natalie Franssen. Donna Edwards scored and Karyn Raines got the insurance overtime goal. All the girls put forth a good effort in the second period and overtime. Lori-Ann Newell played a good game in net. The Brutons IDA Drug Petites played the second game against Sunderland. All the girls played well but Sunderland came up victorious.The score was 4 - 1, Jenny Blanchard got the Bruton Petites goal. Jessica Fluke played her usual good game in net. The third game was Loudfoot scored assisted by Val White. Jessica again showed her worth in goal. The Tween championship game was between Mariposa and Stayner this was a super game with both teams play- ing great ringette.The score was 5 - 4 for Mariposa but could have gone to either team right to the end. The Mariposa Petites also played a great game in their * championship game and beat Ajax girls 5 - 1. Guy Latraelle, President of Port Perry Lions club was on hand to present the medals to both Mariposa teams who were champions in their respective divisions. The Lions club was well represented at the tour- nament by Doug Mannen, Chairman of Youth Committe, Norm Gawley, Greg Smith, John Olivero, . Len and Ken Clark who took part in the presentation of crests to all players.Thanks guys! During the awards present- ation 3 children from our Doug Mannen, Lions Youth Committee chairman presents a trophy to Karen Meek of the Mariposa Ringers after they won the Tween title over Stayner. That's Lisa Mcintyre, the Latreille, president of the Stayner goalie and Guy Port Perry Lions Club, which sponsored the Ringette tournament on Saturday.
