In the first game, Sat. afternoon, they played the host team Bancroft and won 3-0. Scoring for Port Pacer's was Howard Lee assisted by ,Vaughn McKee and Chico Vaz. Kevin Tripp on a low drive from the point assisted by Mark Goreski and Jeff Johnstone. Jeff Johnstone rounded out the scoring assisted by Jamie Lane and Kevin Ferguson. In the second game on Sun. after- noon they beat Peterborough 4-0. Scoring for the Pacer's ~ was Chico Vez assisted by Kevin Tripp and Ken Harman who played 2 out- standing games. Howara Lee scored a shorthanded goal with a lot of hustle and this broke Peterborough's back. Mark Goreski scored unassisted on a nice solo effort. Jamie Lane on a nice backhand assisted by Howard Lee. Kevin Fer- guson rounded out the scoring assisted by Chico Vez. We then played Beams- ville in the Championship game and lost 3 to 1 the last goal being scored in an empty net. The home goal getter for Port was Mark Goreski assisted by Jamie Lane. Port fired in 4 goals in the first period. Mark Andrews put the first goal through the legs of Pickerings goalie with the assists going to Jan Heyes and Jason Cochrane. Then Jason Towns took a well placed pass off the stick of Greg Fitzgerald and Chris Forder. Mark Andrews with - his second goal for the night on an unassisted shot, beat the Pickering goalie. Greg Fitzgerald took the face-off in the Pickering end and - passed to Jeff Parry who fired it into the net. Port's Jason Towns open- ed up the second period scoring with a goal off his own rebound. Port's goalie Shawn Larocque was re- placed midway into the second period after making some super saves. Jan Heyes scored the next Auctioneers goal with the assist by Jason Cochrane.
