The contest is open to all secondary students in Durham Region. Miss Hooker stated that, year's response was most successful; thirteen schools participated. (2' x 1%); materials used are open to the student's discretion, e.g. type of paint, colours, texture. Posters are judged on the preventive and educa- tional message presented with respect to alcohol and drug abuse. Students can submit their posters to their Art Departments or District Health Council Office, 575 Rossland Road East, Whitby by the closing date of March 1st, 1982. Pacers defeat Lindsay in the dying seconds by Hillis Wilbur On Sunday night the Pacer's travelled to Lindsay and defeated them 4 to 3 in the final seconds. Scoring for Port was Jeff Johnstone assisted by Dean . Smith. Chico Vaz assisted by Vaugh McKee and Jamie Lane. Kevin Ferguson tied the game up assisted by Jeff Johnstone and Ken Harman, Then with 3 .seconds left, Chico Vaz scored the winner assisted by Jeff Johnstone who played one of his better games of late. Support Minor Hockey. James Edgar Leask James Edgar Leask slept peacefully away at Port Perry Villa, Port Perry, Ont. on Tues. Nov. 24, 1981 at the age of 93. He was born on Apr.23, 1888 on Moneyfuffel Farm on the 12th concession of Reach Twp.,s0n of the late James Leask and Hannah Perkins. He married Alberta Real on Feb. 12, 1919 and they farmed on the homestead. Edgar took great pride in raising shorthorn cattle and showing the prize cattle at local fairs: and Toronto National Exhibition. After bis fife died, he had a sale and retired to Port Perry where he resided with his father for a short time. Until the last few years he had never missed a year attend- ing 4 the C.N.E. Mr. Leask is survived by his stepdaughter Joan (Mrs. Wes Lane) also three grand- children Gerald, Carel and Jamie Lane. His sister Sylvia Baird lives in Montreal and sister Eva Stone lives in Sunderland, He was predeceased by -two brothers William 'and George. The funeral service was held at McDermott- Panabaker Funeral Home Port Perry on Thurs. Nov. 26, 1981 with Rev. Brawn officiating. : Pallbearers were Charles Leask, Ross Stone, Willie Stone, Geo.
