Being the 3rd Sunday in Advent Mr. George Scott lit the 3rd candle. The Christmas story was read by Peggy and Allison Scott. The sacrament of Holy Communion was observed. After singing "Away in A Manger" the Minister explained the meaning of Advent 3 to the Sunday School and the 3rd candle was lit representing "Peace"'. His sermon "Concerning this Child" was taken from Luke 2: 1-20. The five voice choir sang Star of the East" with "Mrs. L. Malcolm - organist. Nestleton Sunday School concert will be held next Sunday evening, Dec. 20 at 7:30 P.M. Families and friends of the Sunday School children and staff are invited to join them in an evening of the Christmas thoughts and entertainment. ¢ Pony Games'. * Mrs. Leona Sadler spent a few days with daughter Gloria Scott and Jennifer at Corbyville last week while grandson Charles Scott and his father Ian Scott went to British Columbia. Charles (who has belonged to the Pony Club for some time) competed in the Prince Philip Pony games in B.C. against other teams. McNeely welcomed the ten members present with -a Prayer by Peter Marshall. After singing of hymn "As With Gladness Men of Old" with Mrs. R. Davison as pianist Prayers were offered by each member. Mrs. G. Heaslip conducted period of devotion on the miracle of the Virgin Birth. 'Minutes of the previous meeting and financial report were approved. Correspond- ence was read with thank you notes for recent wedding gifts and fruit baskets. The Secretary was instructed to have basket for Operation " Scugog delivered. Final -plans were made for the turkey dinner to. be served following Church Service Dec. 13. The names for Christmas cards and gifts were listed. 'The programme featured readings of interest. Mrs. R.
