On Crkitmas Day, Grahame and\ Neta Fish, Nestleton, were dinner guests of Larry and Dorothy Smith and Penny at their home at Hampton. On Sat- urday, Dec. 26, Grahame and Neta "hosted" a family gathering with the following 'guests present: Calvin and Yvonne Holland and baby Chad, Bowmanville, Jim and Audrey Leishman, Michael, Jamie and William from Reaboro, Mrs. Marlene Bannister, Keith and friend Debbie, Karen and Vicki, and Bob Martyn a friend from Peterborough. On Box- ing Day, Grahame and Neta "hosted" Christmas dinner for other members of the family. Those present for this" joyful occasion were: Bruce and Elaine Fish, Lisa and Laura, Oshawa, Ron and Joyce Jacobs, Deanna and Rhonda, and Dan and Faye - Corby, and Paul; all from Blackstock. Small grandson little 5 month old Chad Holland, from Bowmanville, spent New Year's Eve with grandparents, Grahame and Neta. . For a change on Saturday, January 2nd; Grahame and Neta Fish joined with the Bannister family in Peter- borough for a festive wedding anniversary celebration - their 8th on December 29th. How- ever! quite a goodly number of faithfuls were on hand for Church service at 11:15 A.M. with Rev. John Smith in charge. Mr. and Mrs. Winter from St. Mark's church, Whitby, friends of Rev. and Mrs. John Smith were warmly welcomed. The celebration of Holy Communion was observed. The Minister's Communion Meditation, "Renewing The Covenant" was most mean- ingful. Elders assisting were Messrs. Lawrence Malcolm, Norman Mairs, Victor Malcolm and Grahame Fish. The Minister explained to the Sunday school students the meaning of Holy Communion before they went to their classes. For the choir number a Trio sang the old sacred "Standing At The Portal" very appropiate for the New Year - and adapted from Franz Joseph Haydn 1732- 1809 era, and led by organist Mrs. L. Malcolm. ° The annual congregational meeting will be held next Sunday, Jan. 10, after the Service, beginning about 1 P.M.
