April 21, 1982 -- 15 Tennis club ready for new season The Port Perry Tennis . Club is now getting ready for another busy season on the courts. Although the weather recently has been anything but soring-like, there is at least one net in place at the Port Perry courts. The Canadian Automotive Museum will open its doors to the public on Sunday April 25, when it hosts Oshawa's Central Collegiate Dixieland Band for an afternoon of nostalgic music. An open season will be held in Algonquin Region WMUs 45-50 and 53-60, as is. tra- ditional every second year. In addition to archery hunts in WMUs 7A, 23A, 29A and 384A, an archery hunt for residents has been establish- ed for Thunder Bay District WMU 13. It will run from September 20 to October 3, before the regular season opens. For further information, moose hunters should con- sult the 1982 hunting sum- mary which will be available before the fall season, or contact their local MNR district office. Auto museum fo open this Sunday Ont. on May 18th. Last year this group competing in the national competitions in Edmonton, Alberta, brought home a national champion- ship for Oshawa and their schoo]. Gordon Bracket, general manager of the museum said "The open house is two-fold, it will give area residents who missed our open house at Christmastime the chance to see the changes that have been made at the museum in recent months as well as allow the public a chance to hear this group of youngsters who represented our city in national competition. The atmosphere of the museum and the nostalgic music of the '20's should provide for a' very entertaining after- noon."' There will be no admission charged for this event.
