April 21, 1982 -- 19 | A musical triumph for Scugog Choral Society aT i £3) TE Sg RT De For the sixth consecutive year Scugog Township residents turned out Friday and Saturday last week to enjoy the .annual Music! Music! Music! in Town Hall 1873. Scugog Choral Society again scored a musical and entertaining triumph under the capable leadership of its founder, Grace Hastings. The program was a mixture of new songs and excerpts from earlier per- formances such as Lerner and Loewe's Brigadoon. One naticeable change in the program structure, was the opportunity for more choir members to perform as soloists. And perform they did, and very well at that, To mention all solo performers by name may be a hit pretentious, however, an exception must be made in the name of the evenings guest artist, Fraser Lee, who proved to the audience what a wonderful instrument the guitar can be when an artist of Mr. Lee's capacity is the performer. The next Scugog Choral Society production is un- known to this writer at the present, but another musical extravaganca will no doubt be forthcoming in the late fall. Fraser Lee delighted the crowd with two pieces on the classical guitar, '"Cavatina" [theme music from The Deer Hunter] and "Sounds of Bells." 1973-80 CHEVY & GMC TRUCK (Also '81 except F. Fender & F.
