Everyone is talking about the = upcoming English comedy being presented by Port Perry's Community Theatre Group the Borelians Advance ticket sales are heavy -- a sure sign of success! Of course, who'd miss the chance to spend an evening laughing at the antics of Mrs. Piper and Superintendant Baxter as plot 'unravels in a fashion calculated to make Scotland Drugs and kids topic at meeting For many years Durham Region Lung Association has been active in local schools, pointing out the health hazards of cigarette smoking and more recently, the dangers of habitual mari- juana use. The Community Services Branch of Durham Region Police is also heavily involved with drug problems in local schools, having a team of eight officers working year round on its School Drug Abuse Program. One of these officers, the U.S. indicate a levelling off in drug use among High School students, the problem remains evident across North America, and schools in Durham Region are no exception. Parental ignorance remains one of the 'greatest difficulties, and Const. Logan's presentation will include tips on the early recognition of drug abuse symptons, and a demonstra- tion of the Community Services Branch Drug Kit.
