8 -- PORT PERRY STAR -- Tuesday June 15, 1982 Port Perry main street in TV production of Littlest Hobo There was plenty of action last Tuesday at the east end of Queen Street in Port Perry as the street and lakefront area was transformed into a television set. The excitement started early in the morning as trucks with about 40 crew members converged on the area to begin filming scenes from an episode of the Littlest Hobo entitled Double Vision. It is one of eighteen shows that will be filmed this summer for the new fall season. The Littlest Hobo, a series about a dog and the problems he runs into as he been seen on CFTO for the past five seasons and promises to be popular for many more, The Star spoke with dog trainer Chuck Eisenmann on the set and he said that he treks across the country, has ' does not train his animals. 'I teach rather than train as this makes the dog use his mind and intelligence rather than just his body", he said. Speaking - about London, star of the Littlest Hobo, he says that the dog has a words and understands French and German as well as English. He demonstrated to the Star that the dog actually knows and sees colours. To do - this he instructed the dog to point to something green. At his command, London walked over to a white post with a green top and put his nose on the green paint. The film Double Vision is a story about the Mayor of a small town who is disliked by everyone, but is coming up for re-election when his twin brother arrives in town. A young reporter mistakes the brother for the mayor and begins an interview with him and is pleased to find he is very pleasant. Port Perry's lakefront and main street will be seen in many of the scenes, but the town hall the studio picked to be the office of the mayor is in Newcastle. i Double Vision is scheduled to be seen this fall on CFTO, and although a confirmed date is not available now, the Star will contact the station later in the summer to get the date and will announce it when it is available. available. - Star of the Littlest Hobo, five year old London [left] is seen here with his one year old back-up Toro.
