6 -- PORT PERRY STAR - Tuesday August 31, 1982 letters Vandals sickness (From page 5) vandal are too embarrassed to report it, even if they know such an act was the work of their off-springs. Rewards should not be necessary. Decent, thinking citizens, the peers of vandals and anyone else who has a shred of information con- cerning any act of vandalism should come forward voluntarily and help to curb this mean and vicious crime. Vandalism exhibits a sick- ness within the community and touches each of us. The only effective antidote is a community convinced that it does not want such behaviour marring its exist- ance. Vandalism is not prankish. It is not a little fun gone wrong. It is the first evidence of a sickness that needs treatment. Community health in general is threatened by the vandal and anyone who can help curb this craziness with- in our society is actually making a contribution to the cure of the disease. No civilized community needs or wants such a sick- ness. Yours truly A Concerned Citizen Water Softener Rental $ 1 2% MONTH Rental Stays the Same... For as Long as you Rent the Water Softener!
