September 8, 1982 A | Boat courses will start this autumn The summer boating season is drawing to a close and many boating enthus- lasts will be registering_for the fall and winter courses with the Oshawa Power Squadron to improve their knowledge for next year's action. The following courses, available at Donevan Colle- giate on Harmony Road South, Oshawa are held each week through the fall and winter seasons. Boating and Seamanship Sailing courses on Tuesday evenings; Boating and Seamanship Power, Advanced Piloting, Marine Electronics and Junior Navigator courses on Wednesday evenings. The boating course is a prere- quisite for all other courses. These informative sessions taking the form ot lecture and study periods are given by Canadian Power Squadron members who have specialized in their particular subject and whose only purpose is to improve the quality of boat operation throughout the area. Donevan Collegiate will be the location for registration which takes place from 7 p.m. to9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8th and Wednes- day September 15th, 1982. Late registration (for shift workers) is on Monday, September 20, 1982, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Remember -- a safe boater is a happier boater. Learn the ropes about boating with Oshawa Power Squadron.
