Cornish School in Port Perry. And they figure that it should be complete in a week or so. Plans for the project first began about a year ago and the Parent Advisory Committee has raised about the $3000 cost for the materials. Oddfellows gaoltender Kevin Beer play- ed well as C&B just never Goalies Rick Huggins and Pete Namienko stole the lime-light in Port Perry Mens Non-Contact hockey action last week as they both turned in shut-outs in a 0-0 _ goose-egg between Compton Cardinals and the Galley Kingfishers. Huggins turned aside 19 shots in the Cardinal net while Namienko faced 15 at the other end of the rink for the Kingfishers. Both goalies had to be very sharp to earn their shut-outs as many of the shots were of ~ the tough variety. In other league action, Larocque Electric doubled Sportsland by the score of 4-2. Four players shared in the scoring for the winners with goals coming from Ken Jeffrey, Denzil Irving, Glen McCoy and Rick Van Weston. Henry Forder picked up two assists with singles going to McCoy, Jeffrey and George Slade. For Sportsland, Brian Samis and Jim Curry did the scoring damage with Scott Davis getting credit for an assist. Larocque outshot Sportsland 15-11. Goalies sharp in scoreless tie In a game which ended in the same 4-2 score, B.J. Donuts came out ahead of Gregory's Mens Wear. Greg Gray pulled the trigger for two goals with singles going to Steve Grylls and Doug Suppelsa. Rick Olaisen got credit for an assist. Doug Bronson and Greg Heffering tallied for the losing side with Bronson also getting an assist. Shots were even at 16 each with Bob Strickert in net for B.J. Donuts and Tom Ren- nick between the pipes for Gregory's. In a close match, J&D Carpentry nipped Crandell's Riverboat 5-4. George Gladish, Al Gray, Randy Prosser, John Foster and Dennis Lycett accounted for the scoring on the winning side with Prosser also getting two assists. For Crandell's, Bill Little popped in a pair of goals with singles to Tony Turner and Bruce Smith. Little and Turner also drew assists. J&D had a fairly wide margin in shots at 25 to 10.
