December 21, 1982 Bantams win two by wide margins On Wednesday, December 15th the Port Perry Bantams hosted the Stouffville Ban- tams. The Port team came out victorious with a 6-1 win. Port got on the board early with a goal by Jim White assisted by Rob Baker and Chris Cookman. The play slackened off for most of the first period. Late in the first, Lee Wilbur scored from Greg Warriner and Jeff Cockerton. Play was very slow until midway through the second period, Lee Wilbur scored with a pretty play, Jim White and Chris Cookman got the assists. Stouffville scored late in the second to make it 3-1. In the third, Rob Baker, scored 3 'times for the 'hat Trick". The first goal was early in the third and unassisted. Rob's 2nd was assisted by Steve Durham and Mike Johnson. The third goal was assisted by Mike Johnson and Jim White. Jim White earned three points in this game and Rob Baker with four. Good work guys. The following night Port travelled to Pickering Village coming away winners with a score of 7-1. In the first period Port took four goals to Pickerings none. Jim White scored from Steve Durham. Cornish concluded a successful season last week as they finished runner-up to Frenchman's Bay in the all- Durham finals. The team represented Central Durham after beating out Uxbridge.
