Did the Russians play in their first hockey tour- nament over the August first weekend? Have their players been cycling and jogging all over Scugog Township? Are some of their players (can you believe this?) foregoing their favourite summer time beverage to prepare for their next tournament NS -- =e } TROPHIES 1 | and | } ENGRAVING DO-NO's | | RECORD, CRAFT ) & HOBBY WORLD i 2 Queen St., Port Perry i 985-2839 Zn / [I Ir---- aN as close at hand as this weekend? But there the similarities in dedi- cation and hard work end. The Russians usually win whereas Port Oldtimers weren't as lucky this year on the hockey side of the Ernestown Puch'N'Ball Tournament held over the summer near King- ston. Port managed to split their four games into two wins and two losses, losing out to Pickering Oldtimers 5-2 in the "B"' division final. Earlier Port had been defeated by Ottawa Old Sweats 5-1 and had defeated Ottawa Glenbrook 6-2 and New York City Commuters 2-1 in a hard fought overtime semi- final match. Defeat doesn't rest easy on the shoulders of playing co-coach and general manager Bob "Harold" Slack, hence his prescription of hard work in preparation for this weekends Uxbridge JUNIOR BOWLING LEAGUE REGISTRATION: SAT., SEPT. 24 J 3-4PM.
