Port Legion's in- ability to drive in runners in the key situation eventually was their downfall as they stranded 29 men in the 4 games. He is tough along the boards and in the corners. The big question mark for the team will be defense. Derek Ed- wards is the only regular from last year's blue line corps at camp this season. The coach- ing staff and team officials are taking a very hard look at a number of prospects, including Mike Ryan from Oshawa who is highly rated. Vaughn McKee, who has come up through the ranks of .he local minor hockey organization is big and strong, and has performed well in the pre-season work-outs. There are five players in camp from the Cann- ington area who played on an all-Ontario midget championship team last season, and they are getting a close look from the MoJacks. The team will have five pre-season exhib- ition games, including one to-night (Sept. 20) at Scugog Arena against Little Britain. MoJacks will travel to Lindsay this Friday, and then host Bowman- ville this coming Sun- day. Cn Sept. 27, Lind- say will be in town, and the pre-season games end Sept. 29 when the . MoJacks visit Bowman- ville. These games will give the staff a chance to seriously assess the players on the ice before the roster is trimmed for the start of regular season play on October 3. The MoJacks will pay a visit to Cobourg on that date and the first home game for Port Perry will be Sunday, October 9 when the Lindsay Muskies come to town. The ten team loop is the same as last year with each club playing 36 games. NEED PHOTO COPIES? We can do them for you!
