November 22, 1983 -- 9 Obituary -- Jean Isabelle Stehr The Prospect Com- munity will be saddened by the death of Jean Isabelle Stehr (nee McClintock) on November 1, 1983 in Ot- tawa Civic Hospital. Left to mourn her passing are her husband J. Arthur, her son Christopher, her step- children Ruth Davis and Alfred Stehr and her step-grandchildren Joanne and Jonn. Jean was born on April 3, 1914 at the McClintock farmstead on Quaker Street in the Prospect District -- the only child of George and Ethel McClintock. She attend- ed Prospect School, Whitby High School and Guelph University. As a dietician, she was employed by the Toronto School System and at Preston Hospital. In 1954, she was mar- ried in Timothy Eaton Memorial Chapel to J. Arthur Stehr, and lived in Montreal, where her son, Christopher was born February 27, 1960. When Arthur retired, the family moved to Ottawa where Christopher at- tended University and where he is now employed. Jean's principal in- terest during these past few years has been a con- centrated research into the geneology of the branches of her family and her husband's fami- ly. She travelled countless miles to study and explore many avenues and will leave a heritage for family.
