UXBRIDGE - With the shortage of Cabbage Patch dolls this Christmas, Betty Dilkes decided to sell her doll for profit. The Uxbridge resident ran an advertisement in the Toronto Star last week offering her doll for sale for $500 or the best offer. As of Sunday she had an offer of $350, but she was still holding out for a higher bid on her Cabbage Patch Kid. BOWMANVILLE - Seven year-old Jeff Tucker has a special Christmas wish. He wants to be home with his family for Christmas. The young lad fractured his leg about five weeks ago in a playground accident at school and has spent the time since in traction in Bowmanville Memorial Hospital.
