If the real truth were known about these self- righteous saviours, they don't give a. tinker's damn about my welfare, what they are really after is control of my thoughts. And that's what government is after: control of everything about the individual, 24 hours a day. Not coercion, that's too blatantly obvious, but sub- ~ tle control of actions and eventually thinking, which precedes all action. If this sounds like I'm getting a little paranoid, I am. The state, and agencies of this state, are worming their way into my life, day by day, bit by bit. The remedies which are being imposed on me (and you) as a cure for the collective vices of society, are running us into the ground. History has recorded what happens to a coun- try or a civilization when both the vices and the remedies can no longer be endured. Are we reaching that point?
