UCW ladies get together Mystery Supper coming Prince Albert Area News by Earline Armstrong The ladies of Prince Albert UCW met at the home of Pat Love on Wednesday evening Feb. 8. Nineteen ladies and 1 guest were present. Norma Robinson our president opened with a prayer. Devotion was done by Sheila Dantzer, Grace Beacock and Noreen Crosier. '"'Venture in Mission" was their theme. Jane Litt our guest of the evening showed a film on "Venture in Missions", and gave a short talk. A short dis- cussion followed this film. Grace Beacock thanked Jane on behalf of the ladies and pre- sented her with a gift. After the offering was gathered Noreen Crosier read a prayer. Hymn 358 was sung to end devotion. The roll call was - answered with a verse from the Bible with the word "Love" in it. Business was short with a thank you letter from Operation Scugog, and a reminder of World Day of Prayer on March 2 and please remember Feb. 14 is our Mystery Sister supper at 6:30 at the church. Lunch was served by Mary Williamson, Ilean Pugh and Diana Brough. See you all again on March 14 at 8 o'clock. After all the students prepared and delivered their speeches in their own classes, finalists were chosen for the annual competition in the gym. Thirteen students said their speeches in front of 350 intermediate students. The finalists for Grade 8 were Jody Luke, Mike Bosley, Natalie Rodway, Jeff Oke, Lesley Biffin, Charlene Daigle and Mark McMillan. The finalists for Grade 7 were Max Daigle, lan Smith, Chi Diep, Gloria Wilson, Sharon Jones and Julie Young.
