An out- door service was held at 11:15 aim. with Rev. Dale Davis presenting af interesting message on Father's Day. After the service a pot luck dinner was partaken of by the large attendance. Games were enjoyed by the youngsters and some not so young. Retiring Superintendent Robt. Mairs and wife, Carol were presented with an appropriate gift - the presentation made by the new Superinten- dent Richard Mac- Kenzie. Sincere thanks to Robt. and Carol for their work and dedica- tion for the past 7 years - and best wishes for success to the new Superintendent Richard who is assuming the responsibility. Reception and Dinner Attended On Monday evening Lawrence and Gwen- dolyn Malcolm of Nestleton attended a reception and dinner held to honour Lenore Hoar on her retirement as a primary and junior consultant with the Northumberland and Newcastle Board of Education. More than two hundred co-workers and friends were present on this special occasion held at the Dutch Oven Restaurant at Orono. Kevin and Laura Carre performed at their piano recital in the Sunderland Hall on Tuesday. Paul Kerry was home for the weekend. Twelve member of Epsom-Utica UCW enjoyed Thursday after- noon at the Pine Grove Church. Their UCW had planned a lovely pro- gramme. Several of our UCW members also attended a UCW Rally at Keswick on Tuesday.
