SE After all the mud and noise we had last summer, we appreciate the street through the village looking so nice and clean and green again. Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Vicers of Fergus were recent guests with Florence and Doug Ash- ton. Visitors with Ted and Rose Heron this past week were Doris and r Bill McAndless of Don Mills, Drew and lan Leaper of Mississauga also Miss Peggy Gra- ham of Thunder Bay is spending this week with them. Two beautiful baskets of madona lilies were at the Chancel of Burns Church last Sunday and there was a good attend- ance. The mens choir sang "Will your Anchor Hold" and 'Victory in Jesus". The scripture was read by Hugh Knight. Dr. McKay gave a very impressive message titled "The City and the Tears", and he told the children a story illustrated by the use of a flashlight which they will not soon forget. Dr. and Mrs. McKay will be here for the next two Sundays, July 15th and the 22nd. On the 22nd of July after the church service there will be a luncheon in the church hall so that everyone may get to visit awhile with Dr. and Mrs. McKay. Have a good week - think positively - the greatest oak was once a little nut that held its ground.
