They have pur- chased an American saddle bred, 6 year old mare "My Sweet Temp- tation' and she is a prize winner - having won 3 firsts and 1 second at the Oshawa-Whitby Fair. Pat and Dennice are planning to enter her in the Canadian National Exhibition and many other fairs. She is a beautiful mare with a wonderful temperment. We sure wish them luck in their new venture! Caesarea Euchre Results The card party spon- sored by the ladies auxiliary was held on Wed. evening and the results are as follows: first prize winner - Faith Lawrence - 88. You will be most welcome! Annual Re-Union The annual Cawker re-union was held on Sunday, July 29 at Birdseye Centre Park, Port Perry, with 47 in attendance. A smaller number of relatives than usual due to many activities. Those pres- ent were: Bill and Iris Cawker and daughter Lauraine of New Zealand; Abie and Vivian Cawker of Bob- caygeon, Ken and Jean Pearce, Orangeville; Rob and Claire Sehlotz- hauer and daughter Christine, Stratford; Chas and Nell Cawker, Scarborough; Jim and Marion Cawker, Man- chester; Frank and Grace Hastings, Don and Gloria Forder, Dana and Christopher and Kaye Reamsbottom of Port Perry; Chas. Community Interests On July 14, Don. and Norma Frew, Nestleton '"'Hosted" the annual family re-union of Norma's kinfolk - the Burrage connection from Oakland, Ontario. On July 18, the annual Lakefield, Florida, friends from Woodbrook Estates met at Lake on the Mountain, Picton. Don and Norma had a number of neighbours from Florida call on them including - Herb and Phylis Arbuckle, Little Britain; Joyce and Emil Lape, Parma, Missouri; James and Wanda Dunscombe, Clarkton, Missouri and Blanche and August Macica, Lakeland, Florida. Mrs. Minnie Fisher of Caesarea, spent an enjoyable weekend recently with her friend, Mrs. Helen Wilkinson of Port Perry. Grahame and Neta Fish, Nestleton, were recent dinner guests with Mrs. « Heather Munro of Sonya. Small grandsons, Chad and Craig of Bowmanville, visited with Grahame and Neta this past week. Mrs. Norma Wilson of Duntroon, spent a few days with her sister and brother-in-law Mabel and Sam Cawker at the farm, Scugog Point Rd. While here they were all guess at the 25th wedd- ing anniversary dinner to honour Dan and Ruth Girardi, held at the Bowmanville Restaur- ant. Later they went to the Girardi home for the evening. Those present for this lovely event were: Dan and Ruth Girardi and family- Paula and friend; Dave Marchildon, Andrea and Nancy, Robert and Jean Stewart, Southampton; Ken Bragg, Bowman- ville; Norma Wilson, Duntroon and Sam and Mabel Cawker, Scugog Point Road. The cele- bration was "hosted" by the family. Many gifts were rec'd and a beauti- fully decorated anniver- sary cake was served. Our best wishes to this popular couple. Grahame and Neta Fish attended the wedd- ing on Saturday, July 21 of Grahame's nephew, Darrell Snoddon, who took as his bride, Laurie Griffin. The ceremony was held in Trinity United Church, Cann- ington. The Nestleton Women's Institute meeting date has been changed to August 15th. (members take note).
