Candy making at UCW meeting Scugog Island News by Mrs. Earl Reader Here we are into the dull days of November when our hunting men are hoping for snow. The Hospital Auxil- iary dance on Sat. night was well attended and the music was very enjoyable, which of course, supplied the requirement for a successful evening. On Wed. evening the "Head" UCW will meet at the home of Mrs. Jan. Gerrow and will be reminded of the Mystery Sister Banquet on Wed. Nov. 28 when gifts are exchanged and names revealed. The same evening the "Grace" UCW will meet at the home of Mrs. Florence Fralick. This will give all . ladies a further opport- 'unity of donating to the recently married young people. The Friendship UCW will meet Tues. Nov. 13 at 1 p.m. at the Island United Church. Jan Gerrow will be the hostess and a high light of the meeting will be a demonstration of cake decorating and candy making by Mary Lang. Bible Study will be resumed at the United Church Manse on Wed. evening Nov. 14. Several children join- ed the Jr. Choir last week. It is not too late to come to the next prac- tice at the Island United this Thursday at 6:45 p. On Sun.
