The scoring started three and a half minutes into the game as Mark Andrews scored an un- assisted goal. Then Port progressed from there with six more goals: Jan Heyes 3 and an assist; Sean Bradbury 2 goal; Jarett Harman 1 goal, 1 assist; Clair Cornish 1 goal, 1 assist; Eric Grosvenor 1 goal, 1 assist; Chris Legere 1 goal; Danny Maw 1 assist and Jason Towns 1 assist.
