Stacey Ballingall played a good game in net. Friday night Port travelled to Peterbor- ough claiming a 9-1 victory. The game was rough and filled with penalties on both sides. Goals scored were Jamie Menzies 2, Jeff Oke 2, Stephen Connors 2, with Warren Geer, Mark Barkey, Andrew Steele and Brad Menzies each getting 1. Assists were earned by Brad Menzies and Greg Stapleton 2, Mark Bark- ey, Brad Traves, Phil McBride, Warren Geer and Jamie Menzies with 1 each. Chris McConnell play xd a strong game in net. Sunday evening the Bantams played in Lin- dsay. They kept the score to a 2-2 tie against the big tough hitting team. Scoring were Brad Menzies and Brad Traves with assists to Mark Barkey and Warren Geer. Our goalie, Stacey Ballin- gal, played a tremend- ous game. Close game Last Friday night saw the Pearce Auctioneers Novice team hosting Cobourg in an exciting well-played game. Cobourg scored late in the 1st period with Port's Davy Bourgeois scoring their lone goal early in the second. Mike Pashley played an excellent game in net for the Novice No.l team stopping a numbered advances by the Cobourg offense. Tom Durward, Clay Scott, Greg Thompson, Andrew Jones and Jay King all played good defense against the Cobourg attackers. Cobourg netted 2 un- answered goals in the 3rd period ending the game 3-1. In Port Hope on Sun day, Port came out all fired up and ready to go. A good game was play- ed by all with special for Novice A mention going to Brent Harper who came out of net to play the wing position. Great game, Brent. Although the game ended in a 5-2 loss for Port the boys all played a very good offensive game. The first goal was scored by Brett Lawson with: the assists being credited to Scott Heas- man and Ritchie Tripp. The second goal was scored from a scramble in front of the Cobourg net by Graham Holt assisted by Kenton Le- Fort and Brett Lawson. These guys all played an aggressive, fast skat- ing game. Way to work! On Friday, November 30, the Pearce Auction- eers have an exhibition game against Oshawa at 7 p.m. Keep it up, boys!
