Tuesday, Nov. 20the in Oakwood, Scott Feas- by rounded off his birthday by picking up a hat trick, two of Scott's goals were unassisted, the other was assisted by Jon Rodway. As yours truly was not able to attend, little inform- ation is known on this 3-2 victory. Friday, November 23rd on home ice Sports- land met Whitby-Brook- lin for their their encounter of the regular schedule, both previous encounters Port won by a 3-2 score, this time they increased their scoring making it 4-2. 1:03 into the game a passing play from Darren Caudle to Jon Rodway in the slot had Port up by one. Two quick goals with 3:44 remaining in the period seen Port with a 3-0 lead. A scramble in front of Whitby net resulted in a goal by John Lally with Daryl Leatherdale and Mike Toye assisting. Robbie Brown carrying the puck behind the net jammed one in the open corner with Kevin Gib- son earning the assist. A faceoff in Whitby end resulted in goal number four in the opening seconds of the second period, Lally winning the draw to winger Leatherdale back to Todd Poppleton on the point who picked up his Petites win On Saturday Nov. 24 Brutons IDA Petites hosted Mariposa in a league game. Mariposa being 'one of the top teams in our league gave our girls one of our tougher games so far this season. Both teams played well defensively which kep the score low. In the first period Nicky Beare had 2 goals and Misty Andrews 1 to give Port a 3 to 2 lead. "Kelly Menzies assisted on 2 of the goals. Misty then scored 2 more goals, one each in the second and third period to give Port the win | Bantams on a roll first goal of the season. Sportsland became slack for the remainder of the period and con- tinued to allow Whitby to dominate the play for the final fifteen minutes, resulting in two goals getting past Ricky King who played another strong game in net. On Nov. 28th, Sports- land will play in Picker- ing, then Sat. Dec. 1st they will play in the Stayner Tournament. Sunday, Dec. 2nd they are at Uxbridge at 5:30 p.m. Our usual Friday night game has been cancelled. with a final score of 5 to 3. Kelly and Danielle Cooper picked up an assist each on Misty's goal. The defence of Chris, Shannon, Denna, Kim P. and Tanya helped Tracy in keeping the score low with good defensive work in their own zone. Burton's IDA petites would like to congratu- late Port Perry Tweens and Juniors on their championship wins at the Stayner Tourna- ment this past weekend. Our next home game is Sat. Dec. 1 at 5:30. See you there. Midget B's on 6-1 romp The Canadian Tire Midget 2's hosted an Oshawa team for an exhibition game on Wed. Nov. 21. Port Perry played well with good passing, as they defeated the visiting team 6-1. Chris Skura put in the first goal to give Port Perry the lead in the first period. Assists went to Blair Phillips. Oshawa replied to tie the game up. Second period Port Perry came out strong and put 2 in the net. Dan Vernon scored assisted by Joe Forder. Then Karl Durham found the mark from Dan Vernon. Port Perry kept the pressure on in the third 5 Year Annual Interest period to score 3 more unanswered goals. Steve Solomon scored from Blair Phillips. Chris Parliament put one in assisted by Chris Lane and the final goal of the game went to Willie Edwards assisted by Jay Van Camp. Steve Langille and Steve Whalen shared the goal tending duties for Canadian Tire. Congratulations to the team and to coaches Don Hurst and Brad Hurst, and to manager Paul Solomon for another good game. . . Port Perry travels to Markham Friday, Nov. 30. Next home game is Wed.
