School are at the usual hour next Sunday, but keep in mind the annual - joint Christmas Eve Can- dle Light and Carols Ser- vice in Seagrave United Church on December 24th, at 7:30 p.m. We extend our sym- pathy to the Ron Alldred family on the passing of his mother Mrs. Ger- trude Alldred this past week. Prof. McCready was an overnight guest of Prof. Parker in Toronto last week. Mr. and Mrs. Mark Roundell and Genna visited with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Murry Lee over the weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Phoenix were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Joha Phoenix and fami- ly, Toronto, last Thurs- day evening. Mr. and Mrs, Armour McMillan visfted with Mr. and Mrs. George Davidson one evening" recently. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Innes have moved to their new home in Sunderland and we welcome Mr. and Mrs. McLaren to the Innes home. Mr. and Mrs. Gordon McCombe of Oshawa spent Sunday with her parents Rev. and Mrs. Rodgers and family. Mr. Robert Croxall visited with the Rod Foster family on Sunday. A speedy recovery is wished for Mrs. Laura Lee who had a bad fall in her home and Mr. Wm. Graham who had hip surgery. They are both patients in Oshawa Hospital. Last Wednesday, Mrs. D. McKean found time in her busy schedule to host the Anaual W.I Christmas meeting. The pot-luck noon luncheon is always popular and this year Banana Cream Pies outnumbered Cherry Cheesecake. A short pro- gram of Christmas Carols, recitations and readings made up the afternoon. The carol- We Wish You a Merry Christmas- was sung to close the December meeting. Some tickets are still available for the annual New Year Party in Greenbank Hall on December 31st. If you need tickets call Mrs. R. Cookman 985-2981 or Mrs. N. Hunter at 985-7456. The Baird Family an- nual Christmas Party was held Saturday at Latcham Centre with over sixty members present. Mr. and Mrs. Andy Otis and boys are staying with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Wm.
