On Sunday there was a good attendance at church for the White Gift Service. The Service opened with Junior and Senior Choirs singing "Let the Worship of Your Hearts Be as a Love Song." Then the lighting of the advent candle. Last week the second candle "Love" had been lit by Jim and Shirley Hunter and family Leslie and Gregory. The third candle being "Peace' was lit by the family of Pearl Gostick, Ilean Pugh, Bonnie Solomon and daughter Laurel. A Trio of Grant Hunter and daughters, Beth Willes and Linda Hunter with Eva at piano sang -OBITUARY - Mrs. Reginald Boundey A longtime resident of Port Perry, Mrs. Reginald Boundey pass- ed away peacefully at the Community Memorial Hospital, Port Perry, on Saturday, Oc- tober 20, 1984 in her 78th year after a short illness. Frances Margaret Christine was born at Purple Hill on January 17, 1907, the only daughter of Job Graham and Maretta Byam. She received her education at Purple Hill School. On October 2nd, 1940, Frances married Reginald E. Boundey. Together they made their home in Port Perry until his sudden death on December 27, 1955. Frances was a faithful member of the Bethel Methodist Church and later the Port Perry United Church, both of which she attended very regularly. For over fif- teen years, Frances ex- hibited at many fairs and exhibitions over a wide territory. Throughout her life, Frances was a very ardent and suc- cessful gardener. Her countless outstanding flowers both indoors and out, were a great pleasure to her. Mrs. Boundey leaves to mourn the passing of a cherished aunt Joyce and Gerald Kelly, Harvey and Joan Graham, Cheryl, Mark and Rob Graham, Elizabeth, Eleanor, Elaine and Esther Kelly all of Blackstock. She was predeceased by her brother Courtney Graham. The memorial service was conducted at the Chapel of McDermott- Panabaker, Port Perry by her minister Rev. Glenn Jackson. Inter- ment was at the family plot in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Prince Albert. Pallbearers of her choice, were Peter Atkin, Tom Feltis, Lloyd Short, Clarence Fair, Bernie Gotham and Cecil Gibson. After the story "Why The Chimes Rang," everyone went to the front to present their white gift and sing carols. Christmas Service next Sunday 11:30 a.m.; 6:30 Sunday evening and Family Caroling. After caroling hot chocolate and donuts will be served at the church. A report on Matthew Geer, as I'm sure every- one has been thinking about him. He has gone to Boston for some tests and expects to be back in a few days then back to Boston the end of the month. We are praying for you all at this time. Sorry to report that Mabel Strong is con- fined to Port Perry Hospital again. Hope you will be feeling better and home before Christmas. Merv and 1 were Sunday supper guests with our son Wayne and Dianne and family in Port Perry. Attention to all men who attended the Couple's Club dance. If you wore a beige top coat you had better check you closet becausc one was left at the Community Centre and you may need it when the weather turns cold. I have it at my place. Phone 985-2146.
